Iskandar Ibrahim (nickname: Iskk Ktn)

Iskandar Ibrahim is currently working with the government Work Department in Kuantan, Pahang. He was interested in photography since he was a child as a hobby. He started photography using his Ricoh 500G back in the year 1977 and in 1983 he was using Canon AE-1, his first SLR camera. In the late 90s when the camera technology advent, he started to use a digital camera and this changed his way of doing a photography and thinking until now. He has more than 30 years of experienced in photography and made thousands of photographs during the analog era.

At the beginning of his passion, Iskandar made the photographs of his family members, their portraits, and the photo of the place when he traveled. Iskandar started street photography in the year 2012 and fall in love with it. He never went to a formal photography lesson. But then he started building his skill and knowledge by reading a lot of photo books and join many people with the common interest and passion in the street photography.

“Every street photograph that we made has a story that reflects ourselves. Street photography taught us about the human behaviors, human interaction and the people doing in the everyday life.” With that, he was trying to document it and give his thought with his photographs.
